About Lee A. Schwartz, Esq.

Having practiced law for close to 20 years in the areas of corporate and real estate contracts and transactions, and all aspects of trusts and estates, my clients refer to me as a “deal maker,” who is accessible, responsive and more than thorough.

Lee Schwartz, Esq.The journal of the Nassau County Bar Association, Nassau Lawyer, published my article on 1031 Like Kind Exchanges (Real Estate). You can read more articles and checklists relating to real estate, corporate law, and trusts and estates in my newsletters.

I have  presented Continuing Legal Education courses for other lawyers on topics relating to 1031 transactions and the basics of selling and purchasing a business. I have also presented on the topic of estate planning before a local chapter of the Sons of Italy.

I graduated from the School of Business Administration of the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) before attending Brooklyn Law School. As a result, I bring business sense to a transaction, and therefore, am better equipped to be a “deal maker.”

In addition to my legal practice, I continue to be actively involved in running my family’s real estate management business. This business experience helps me to better hand-hold my clients. In fact one of my clients once told me ‘treat me like I am your father.’ I responded by telling him, “I treat all my clients like family.”

As for my credentials, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Syosset Chamber of Commerce.  I am a long time member of the American Bar Association, and participate in the Business Law and Real Property, Trust & Estates Law Sections. For the New York State Bar Association, I belong to the Real Property Law Section, the Business Law Section, the Trusts & Estates Section, and the General Practice Section. I am also an active participant on the Real Property Committee, Corporate, Banking and Securities Law Committee, and the Surrogate’s Court Committee at the Nassau County Bar Association.

I have been actively involved in coaching my two sons on soccer, baseball and basketball teams through the years, but have now graduated to playing roller hockey on the same team as my older son. Although  we seemed to have been playing the same number of years, somehow, his skills now far exceed my continually eroding talent. When not cooped up in my office, I also play tennis, golf, run and mountain bike.

My family and I have resided in Woodbury, New York for the past 12 years.
